A Hawaiian Paradise
Kalani
Oceanside Retreat is located on 113 spacious acres of botanical
forest along the sunny and secluded Puna Coast on "the Big Island"
of Hawaii. Bordered by tropical forest and rugged lava coastline
and near Kilauea, the most active volcano in the world, Kalani is
the only coastal lodging facility within Hawaii's largest conservation
area. Twenty acres are dedicated to landscaped lawns and retreat
facilities. On-site amenities include an Olympic-size swimming pool,
two jacuzzis, a sauna, and free wireless Internet access. Theraupeutic
massage is available.
Accommodations are lovely, in natural wood with plenty of light, a clean,
modern, yet rustic feel. The three daily meals (included in the fee)
are wholesome vegetarian (with fresh fish and chicken options), featuring
local fruits and organic produce. Meals are served in the open-air
dining lanai.
Among nearby attractions are a black-sand beach, tidepools, thermal
springs, natural steam vents, Volcanoes National Park, botanical
gardens, and hiking to waterfalls. The sea cliffs of the Kalani
coastal area provide for close-up views of turtles, dolphins,
and migrating whales. This paradisiacal environment will enfold
us in an atmosphere of complete relaxation, soothing our spirits
so we can leave our daily hassles behind and awaken the mindfulness
that is necessary for lucid dreaming and lucid living.
Hawaiian weather is delightfully mild year 'round. The temperature at Kalani will
typically range from the mid-60's to the mid-80's. Brief rain-showers are common, but there
is plenty of sunshine as well.
